Those of you who followed our Olympic Medal Count reports here (and here, here, here, here, here, here) know that Team Ireland didn't exactly paint Vancouver gold last month. Disappointed? Sure we were. But we're not giving up dreams of Irish Olympic medals just yet. Our last, best hope comes in the form of County Down skier Kelly Gallagher who competes in the Vancouver Paralympic Games this coming week.
Yes, as a citizen of Northern Ireland Kelly will be officially representing the UK in Vancouver. But come on. She's Irish and we're cheering for her. Skiing competition begins on Saturday. Watch for medal updates here. Ski like a champion, Kelly!
