Olympic Medal Count

With the closing ceremonies just 3 days away now, our boys and girls in green continue their drive to Olympic glory in Vancouver. As of today the Irish team medal counts stands at:
0.

BUT...Irish skier Kirsten McGarry finished in the 50th spot yesterday in the giant slalom, beating out powerhouses like Tugma Dasdemir of Turkey, Sophia Ralli of Greece and Liene Fimbauere of some country with a red stripey flag. So there!

Ireland's hopes now lay in the hands, or rather on the skis, of Shane O'Connor who races toward gold tomorrow in the Men's Slalom. Make us proud, Shane.
