Well...a rough day for the Irish girls on the bobsled track as they finished 20th out of 21 teams in their heat. Aoife and Claire did beat a pair of Russians, and they have lots of snow in Russia, so that's impressive. Regardless, that stubborn medal count, in spite of my confidence and optimism remains at
0.
BUT...and I have a great big but...we're not sunk yet. Slalom skier Kirsten McGarry races today and Shane O'Connor skis on the 27th. The Nation and diaspora look to you, Kirsten and Shane. Make us proud.
