Street Faire! No Charge For That Extra E

What has become a whole 'nother Irish Fest here in KC, the Browne's Irish Street Faire happens this weekend, this year adding a whole 'nother night.

On this inaugural Friday, be sure to come see the headline performance by The Good Foot, whose insanely talented guitarist happens to be Uncle Bloggy's nephew (and son of Irish Fest Snug Queen Carol Braun) Tim "Kid Irish" Braun.

Also catch the set that night by The Grisly Hand, whose insanely talented lead singer happens to be Lauren Krum, daughter of Irish Fest Sponsor emeritus Boulevard Brewing Company's CFO Jeff Krum.

And of course, the big Saturday night line-up is headlined by The Elders, whose new drummer Kian Byrne used to play fiddle for The Grisly Hand and is the insanely talented son of the insanely talented lead singer of The Elders Ian Byrne. Also appearing is the Kelly band, whose insanely talented lead singer and goatskin beater is the insanely talented Kelly Dougherty, who serves on the Irish Fest entertainment committee.

This is a small town...

On Saturday, you'll also be able to sign up to be an Irish Fest volunteer, if you'd prefer to do that with a pen and paper instead of  on a computer.  Browne's is of course at the corner of Tirty Tird and Penn, in The Kerry Patch. I'll be there, you be there too. To get you in the mood, here's music from The Good Foot, The Grisly Hand, The Elders and Kelly.

I hadn't seen that video of Good Foot's. I love Julia's voice. I also like Laren's too. It's a great line-up. You'll be mad if you miss it.
