Something To Look Forward To

Yeah, so it's it's as cold as Maggie Thatcher's heart here in Mooville and Irish Fest is a long 226 days (the gestational period of a grizzly bear in case you were wondering) away. But St. Patrick's Day is sort of right around the corner, or a few corners anyway and this one going to be special.

For one thing it's on a Saturday this year. Whoohoo! For another thing it's going to be sunny and 73ยบ that day. I'm pretty sure. And for anothernother thing, the Elder's Hooley is on the very day this year! That's right, after watching the parade, wolfing down your corned beef and praties, sipping Irish whiskey with your mom (what, everybody doesn't do that?) and a pleasant afternoon in your local, you can end the day like you end Irish Fest: with a raucous Elders thrown-down.

The Uptown Theater is the place, 7:00 pm is the time. The Driscoll Irish Dancers provide choreographical support. Table seats: $45 and $37, general admission tickets are $25. Tickets available online at The Uptown Theater box office or ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone by calling 1-800-745-3000.

General admission tickets are also available online at The Elders online store or at the following locations:
  • Browne's Market (KCMO) 816-561-0030
  • Irish Crystal Company (Overland Park, KS ) 913-341-4438
  • Sheehan's Irish Imports (KCMO) 816-561-4480
  • Doherty and Sullivan's (Lee's Summit, MO) 816-524-7151
The Hooley, like Irish Fest celebrates its 10th birthday this year. Make your plans now to be at the party of the season with the kings of Irish Fest, The Elders.
