Holiday Music

At the big swanky Irish Center gala last weekend we were treated at the front end of the evening to the loveliest version I've ever heard of Amhrán na bhFiann, the Irish national anthem. The singer was an equally lovely young woman called Ashley Davis.

I met Ashley later in the evening and found out that though she's a native of neighboring Kansas, she'd just recently come back to the midsection of the country from New York with her husband. She's an amazingly accomplished and well traveled performer and she'll be performing in our area in several places in the next week...and hopefully on a regular basis. If you possibly can, go check her out at one of these holiday season shows. You'll not be disappointed.
