Let's finish the work week with lucky number 11 in our 17 Days Of Band Announcements. I would call this series something cool and alliterative like March Madness®, but I don't want to get my ass sued by the NCAA, so I won't.
If you ask me–and you didn't but I'm going to say it anyway–today's band is responsible for some of the most innovative and exciting music in the genre. Is it trad? Is it fusion? Is it jazz? Is it new age? All of the above? None of the above?
It's Kila.
The O Snodaigh and Hogan brothers, along with some friends who round out the band made their first trip to the Kansas City Irish Fest in 2010. They provided other firsts as well. The first belly dancer at Irish Fest. The first aerialist dancers at Irish Fest. And absolutely never a dull moment on stage or off. Have a listen.
