Wasn't that just awful? Dreadful how some people make fun of bagpipes. You'd never catch me doing that. No sir. 'Cause I can run pretty fast.
Anyway, I bring the subject up because it's that time of year again when Kansas City becomes Bagpipe City for a weekend. The 10th anniversary edition of Winter Storm blows into town weekend after this one, January 14-16. Featuring the best in piping and drumming in both competitions and workshops, a huge Saturday night concert and the legendary Winter Steam afterparty. Seriously, I've heard stories that make Irish Fest after parties sound like Girl Scout meetings by comparison.
