I was taken to task yesterday, and rightly so, for an oversight in my reporting on a late-signing Irish Fest band. My apologies. Things get away from us in these late days.The very last, but by no means least to join our incredible roster of entertainers for 2009 is Omaha's legendary Turfmen. One of the Midwest's finest Irish trad bands, they've kept Omaha reeling and jigging for a staggering 24 years or so now. And - and this may come in handy with our crowd - I'm pretty sure they're the only band playing for us this year who are fronted by a county public defender.
Please make them welcome as they play KCIF for the first time in 2009. And bring your dancing shoes.
