Book 'Em. Dan-o

Irish Fest opens in, guess what? One hundred and fifty seven days. That, as if you didn't know, is the average gestation period of a domestic goat. Which means not only could you grow an entire brand new goat if you start right now, but also that Irish Fest will be here before you know it. So let's get ready.

Yes, it's a little too early to load up the car. A blanket placed on the Crown Center lawn now likely would not make it through the summer. And we're not even selling tickets yet. But here's what you can and should do right this minute: book your hotel room.

Once again our friends at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center and the Westin Crown Center are offering discounted rates for Fest weekend, which includes Irish Fest tickets. Both hotels are a short mosey from the Irish Fest grounds. Both are lovely. And both will fill, completely.

So let's book now while we're thinking of it, shall we? The Westin, right on top of Irish Fest is $106 per night. The Hyatt, a short covered and elevated stroll around the corner is just $102. Either way, you stay right where the action is all weekend long.

We booked our room last night, but were wondering if the hotel cost includes two tickets to the festival as in years past.

Thanks

It does, just like years past.
