Okay so at the top of the page there is says that is "your inside guide to the Kansas City Irish Fest." So here on the "inside", sometimes things happen. Like, for instance, with band announcements that you promised to make. Some bands that you were going to announce that you thought you had a deal with fall through. Other bands that you could have announced that you're 99% sure you have a deal with haven't been signed so you don't want to announce them because, well, see #1.
I'm sure you see where I'm going here. I don't have a band announcement for you today.
I'm sorry. I know I promised. I feel just awful. Believe me, Irish Fest music booker Dave Shaughnessy will not be getting an Irish Fest pay check this week.
Next Friday, for sure.

I have it on good authority that Luka Bloom is going to be in Denver, CO at 'The Soiled Dove' on June 3rd (the day that Billy Joe McAllister jumped off the Tallahatchee bridge, by the way) in case anyone is interested. There's going to be a US Tour but I don't yet know of any other midwest dates.
