Arty Kids Needed

You lazy kids finish coloring that smiling Jack O'Lantern yet? I hope so, because this week's picture is ready for you and your crayons right now. This time is The Dullahan, a headless horseman from Irish folklore. At least you better hope it's only folklore, because this is one scary hombre.

Way back in October of 2007, just before Halloween I told you about this guy. Remember?
"The Dullahan is a headless horseman who rides an equally headless horse during the dead of night; wherever he stops a mortal dies. And since neither one can see where the hell they're going, they tend to stop a lot unfortunately, usually after running into road signs and the backs of stopped busses. His eerie cry of "Ow! Damn it!" can be heard echoing throughout the land."

Okay, some of that I made up. But not the spooky parts. So, you know what to do. Download the drawing of the Dullahan and color it. Bring it to Irish Fest and take it to the children's area. You might win something.

Just watch out for a headless horseman on a headless horse. A thing like that could ruin a kid's weekend.
