Today is Earth Day, so we here at the Kansas City Irish Fest encourage you to spend your day on Earth and enjoy its many wonders, such as trees, plasma TVs and automatic garage door openers. Earth is also a great place to have lunch, so when you're ready for that in a few hours head over in your hybrid car to Irish Fest vendor Browne's Irish Market & Deli. In honor of the day, everything green (merchandise, not food) in the store is 25% off and there's a veggie sandwich lunch special, because vegetables grow where? That's right, Earth.
As for me, to celebrate Earth Day I pledge to reduce my carbon footprint today by not wearing my carbon shoes, and to remind you to volunteer for the Irish Fest recycling committee. Coincidentally, Irish Fest opens in 129 days, on Earth.
