Far Flung Friends Of The Fest
I received word this morning that we have a volunteer (thank you, Rob) coming in all the way from London to lend a hand. Anybody traveling further than that to work for Irish Fest this year? We may have to give a prize or something.
That's great, London is far and all that, but we have SIX volunteers coming up for the SECOND consecutive year all the way from Dallas, Texas, yeehaw!! It may not be London, and we may be coerced to volunteer by a certain family member who may be in charge of the Site Hosts, but we're coming with smiles and strong arms to lift those strollers up the stairs....Six Irishfesters from Dallas, how does that compare to one from London?
How about Germany, via Vancouver. Vancouver might not be as far as London but I know that Germany is. The best part about this volunteer is that this will be her second year doing this. She visited the Fest three years ago as she traveled around the USA on her way from Germany to Canada. She loved the Irish Fest so much that she flew back from Vancouver the next year just to work the Fest and party with us.
That’s right.
For the second year in a row this Gate Volunteer will fly in, work the Fest, watch the bands, have a few beers then pack up and fly back home. Only to return next Labor Day Weekend.
I may be coming from London, which is only a simple 12 hour hop across the ocean, but my luggage is coming via Lisbon, Mombassa and the Ross Ice Shelf and will arrive in KC in the early days of 2008. Worrying, since it's only carry-on. And yes, shocko, I am the guy that is...

Whats with the unfinished sentences?
Beats me. You'd have to ask...
The unfinished sentences are obviously "inside" comments/jokes and such poor blogger etiquette is disappointing.
McCarthy
"blogger etiquette"? That's rich.
what's with all the anonymous posts...?
