Groundwork

Today from my Crown Center office window I see something that warms the cockles of my heart. And as cold as it's been in Kansas City this past week, I'll take warm cockles anyway I can get them.

I see from my window today that the Irish Fest Terrace Stage is being constructed under the big, funny-looking tent. Oh sure, other people will be using it throughout the summer, but it's our stage. The floor has been laid out, the skirting and back wall to follow in the next few days.

Okay, now close your eyes and imagine all the fun we're going to have around that stage in just 144 days.
