I promised you details on the upcoming Film Clips charity hair cut event, and details I have.
February 14th, appropriately a day to celebrate love, come by Eddie Delahunt's Cafe & at 45th and State Line Road between 11:00 and 2:00. Have a sandwich or a cup of Eddie's specially brewed "Love Potion" coffee. The founder of this event,
Máirtín de Cógáin of Carrigaline, Co Cork will be prepared for his shearing by his countrywoman, Ms. Maggie Nelson. (Mags, a bonafied professional hair stylist, is donating her time to this event. To look less shaggy, just call Maggie. The number of her shop in Waldo is 816-729-0087.) She will be styling Mairtin's mop and beard into dozens and dozens of long pig tails. You'll have a chance to pick out your favorite to be lopped off, for a $10 donation to The Jennifer Ireland Foundation. (The clipping will be done, gratis, by Anthony Molle of the 4433 Barbershop, 816-753-4004. Call him for your next 'do.) Máirtín also tells us that you'll be able to "spin his spur" for a dollar. I don't even want to know.
This is midday on a Wednesday, so I understand it might be difficult for some of you to make it in person. Fear not, the whole spectacle will be captured on a web cam and you'll be able to pay for your pigtail online. Details on that will be on the newly established www.jenniferirelandfoundation.com .
The hair, once clipped, will be sent off to Locks Of Love, so that some unsuspecting radiation or chemo patient can look like a hairy Corkman until their hair grows back. There's an incentive to get well.
So there you have it, and I hope we have you. Let's make this huge. Máirtín has lots of hair on both ends of his noggin, and there's lots of pigtails for the picking. If you have questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.
See you there, with the hair.

Danny, would you mind if I posted this or the link to the elders website? or you could do it. I just want the word to get out even more.
Feel free Elizabeth. Anything to get the word out.
