From today's Kansas City Star:
NEW AT UNION STATION The luck of the Irish
It’s a win-win for the Irish and Union Station.
Kansas City’s Irish Museum and Cultural Center, which last year announced plans to occupy space at the station, has signed a lease to move in Nov. 15.
The center already occupies a small space offering genealogy services. But the new lease covers about 3,700 square feet in what is now the Zephyr Room on the lower level.
A party to celebrate, planned for 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 25, will include Irish music and a preview of concepts for the cultural center.
Union Station is also proceeding with plans to create an Irish pub to complement the cultural center.
