A Laughing Matter

Still haven't decided on where to volunteer? Haven't found just the right spot for a person of your rare talents? Well, gather 'round and let me tell you about an exciting career in the burgeoning Comedy industry. It's today's installment of "Where Should I Volunteer".

What you'll do: Well, first of all, lucky you, you'll be working for our own Ronan Collins, founder of the only comedy stage at any American Irish Fest and a very funny fella in his own right. The comedy shows are ticketed separately from the rest of Irish Fest, so we need people to sell tickets during Irish Fest. We'll have a little tent out there where you'll do that. We also need people to work at the shows themselves, as ushers and ticket takers. The really cool part of all this is that you get to meet three of the funniest people in Ireland who aren't Ian Paisley. We're all still telling stories about the comedians who were here last year, none of which can be published here, unfortunately.

Who you are: You're the class clown. You crack people up. With your winning personality, you could sell comedy tickets at a funeral. Not that we'd ask you to do that, probably.

Sound like fun? It is. Go sign up. I'll wait here. Don't forget to mention "comedy" in the comments box at the bottom of the volunteer form.
