Looking Ahead

Though I spent my Sunday shoveling 8 inches of new springtime from the sidewalks and driveway of Castle Blogula, and though the prognosticating groundhog is being charged with fraud, warmer weather is coming.  And Irish Fest is only 157 days away. So let's look past the snow and the ice and the frigid temps and think summer. A good way to do that? Buy your Irish Fest tickets. They're available now.

Just think, next time you go to get the milk for your cup of hot tea that you'll hold as you shiver by the fire cursing Gary Lezak, you'll see those Irish Fest tickets magnetted to the fridge door, glowing warmly like the August sun. "Fear not", they seem to say, "soon it will be Irish Fest time and you shan't be cold anymore. The snow and chilling winds will be gone. It'll be 103ยบ and you'll be drenched in sweat and sunburned and thinking about sitting by the fire watching the snow fall."

A single day adult ticket for this year's fest bought in advance will run you ten bucks. That's what it cost last year. And the year before. And the year before. And the year before. And the year before. And the year before. Etc. Snug passes are available, too.

I bet if enough of you buy your tickets now, the warm weather will get here sooner. Hey, it makes as much sense as that fecking groundhog does.

2013 Kansas City Irish Fest tickets are available here.
