As the weather gets wintery these past few days, is there anything that sounds better than sipping good Irish whiskey surrounded by good friends? I'll answer that for you. No, there isn't. Unless maybe it was sipping 10 different Irish whiskeys.

You can do just that this coming Friday at the Kansas City Irish Center's Irish whiskey tastings. Two packages are available, the basic and the premium. Your basic package includes samplings of Bushmills, Jameson, Knappogue, Paddy, Powers and Tullamore Dew for $35. The premium adds Bushmills – 16 Year, Jameson – 18 Year, Redbreast and Middleton Very Rare to that list and goes for $50. And once you've found your favorite* you'll be able to order it at a discount right there at the Center for pick up the next day through a special partnership with The Cellar Rat.
