Ireland's Katie Taylor has her first bout of the Olympics today against Natasha Jonas of Great Britain ("Boooo" says the crowd!) in the the women's boxing quarterfinals. Fair Katie will take Jonas apart, I have no doubt, as she bobs and weaves toward her inevitable gold medal.

Katie, a stór, I await your response to my earlier invitation to join us here in Kansas City for Irish Fest. You'll be treated like the queen you are. Beers are on me. I'll even treat you to a Jameson whiskey tasting session if you'll let me wear your gold medal around the grounds for a little while.
