Pizza Out West

If I didn't work at Irish Fest, I'd spend my whole Labor Day weekend staring up at the swells in the fancy-pants sponsor hospitality area and wondering what it must be like up there. It must be wonderful, I'd think. They must sip the finest drink and dine on the finest food as they laugh at the clever banter and witty bon mots of other VIPs.

Because I do work here, I get to go up there and I can tell you: that's exactly what it's like. And one of yummy things they eat up there every year is the absolute best pizza in town, provided by our friends Jason and Shannon at Pizza 51. Up until now if you weren't an Irish Fest sponsor  and wanted that same pizza you had but one option. Stop by the Pizza 51 location at 51st and Oak near UMKC (and my house, lucky me). Well, here's good news for you folks on the Wheat State side of town, Pizza 51 West is now open at 59th and Mission Road in Fairway. Same great pizza, same great family owned business. Stop by for a slice and say thank you to Jason and Shannon for their support of Irish Fest.
