I'm on a little hiatus at the moment, down at the O'Hara (Mrs. Bloggy's) family reunion at Lake Pomme de Terre (appropriately meaning "potato") here in Missouri. The gathering is populated by no fewer than 11 Belfast redheads of various shapes and sizes, an ocean of beer, a mountain of food and waves of laughter into the wee hours.
Family reunions area wonderful thing, made more wonderful by their infrequency. You can only take so much of your family after all. But when you do get together, special things happen. If it's been too long since your clan gathered, maybe Irish Fest is the place to meet. We're neutral ground, so no territorial battles will break out. We've got all the food and beverages an extended Irish family could need, and 7 stages of entertainment for when you need a break from the camaraderie.
If you'd like to gather the kin at Irish Fest this year, get in touch with Keli today. And ask her about the O'Neill reunion at Irish Fest a few years back. I think they're still finding bodies.
