Early birds and worms. Rolling stones and moss. Time and waiting for no man. You know all the cliches. But yo, those things are cliches for a reason you know. It's not like somebody just came up with these things randomly and they caught on with no basis in truth or common sense. Like if I just started saying "A blistered toucan bears no tomatoes" or "Wiping down an oily hippo won't make it any less prickly." Nobody would be saying those things in a wise and knowing tone of voice decades from now because they don't make any sense and you'd sound like an idiot.
But those other ones, well there's wisdom in there. For instance I told you the other day that Snug passes were on sale and you should hurry. Well, a bunch of early birds have jumped all over that worm, report the Snug Sisters. They report record first week sales. So if you plan on making the Snug your Irish Fest home, don't wait.
Likewise hotel rooms. Our two on-site anchor hotels, the Westin and the Hyatt are taking discounted reservations right now-including fest tickets- and many, many hundreds have already been snatched up. And as I often say, hotel rooms are finite. Soon they'll be gone and then where will you be? Staying at some flop house, flea bag or rat castle. Or worse, my house and that place is a dump. So again...get on it.
Because you know what they say. Time waits for no rolling worms.

I quite like the hippo adage. In fact, it's now my mission to somehow use it in a conversation.
You'd better trademark that ASAP.
Why isn't the purchase tickets link on the kcif site working? I need to get snug tix for Saturday before they are gone! :)
Ah, so the big "buy tickets" link isn't working, but the tiny one at the bottom of the page is. Got our snug tix for Saturday. Yea! Food, drinks & a great seat for Gaelic Storm!
Sorry Jody, I've received word that there are some technical issues regarding bank confirmations with the site. It should be resolved within the next day or so.. Thanks for your patience! See you in the Snug!
Can't get into Hyatt site. It only let's me go so far and then says page cannot be displayed.
I just tried the Hyatt link and had no problems, but I've alerted our website boss. Thanks for letting us know.
