Are you or do you currently have in your household a child of some kind? Specifically, have you a child or youth with a musical bent? Even more specifically, does your 16 years or under youth play traditional Irish music? Or play another kind of music on an acoustic instrument but has an interest in learning Irish music? Then we want him or her!
The Kansas City Irish Fest is currently building the Kansas City Youth Ceili Band. If your son or daughter plays a fiddle, guitar, banjo, bodhran, mandolin, accordion, bouzouki, flute or whistle, we may just have a place for them on the Irish Fest stage. Yes, the Youth Ceili Band will be performing at the 2011 KC Irish Fest. Organization, guidance and arrangements will be under the supervision of top notch local players and teachers Turlach Boylan and Mark Franzke.
