Last night former KC Irish Fest president Rory O'Connor and former KC Irish Fest president me met at a local pub with current KC Irish Fest raffle winner Shaun McMahon. You're thinking, "hey I thought the guy won. Why did he have to go have pints with you two?" Well, he did win and he and his wife as grand prize raffle winners are soon heading off to Ireland on our Euro. He was meeting with Dublin-native Rory to gather a long list of must-visit spots (lots of pubs on that list, oddly) and he was meeting with me because while he's over there he'll be posting reports right here at Tir na Blog.
The reasons for this guest blogging are twofold. One, to take you vicariously on holiday to Ireland. And two, to convince you that this year at Irish Fest maybe, just maybe you should invest in a raffle ticket or two. Shaun took advantage of our 5 for $20 ticket deal himself. Travel for two to Ireland for $20? Not bad.
