Ms. or Mr.?

There's been some question about the gender of our newly unveiled 2011 Irish Fest cow, do I assume to the lack of udders and in spite of the cow's lovely green eye shadow. Here's what I can tell you: when I assigned Pete, our cow artist, the task of creating this year's bovine beauty, I told him that the cow was traditionally a girl, as indeed all cows are*. Hence the eye make up. As to the lack of udder, well that was a case of what we in the biz call "artistic license." Pete, understandably, thinks they're kind of gross, especially when the cow is up on her hind legs as this one is. Team player that he is, he has offered to add them if need be to clear up any confusion. So I'll ask you, the cow consuming public: are these gender identification issues significant enough to warrant a little anatomical correctness? Or shall we leave the interpretation up to the viewer? Vote on the poll over there on the right and we'll let the market decide. Pete is standing by with his surgical tools.


*Males are bulls or steers. And yes, many breeds of cow do have horns so let's not start that discussion again.
