I don't know what the hell happened back here in the week we were in Ireland. We left just prior to Halloween night. We came back, apparently, on Christmas Eve. Before we left the shadow of the Irish Fest Miller Lite Stage lingered. Now it's an ice skating rink. The Mayor's Christmas Tree now stands in the middle of the Irish Fest grounds here at Crown Center. The site of our Atrium Stage is festooned with fake pine garland and plastic holly. And I'm not ready. I think missing Halloween did me significant psychological damage, to be honest with you. So this weekend I'm dressing up in my leprechaun costume and going trick or treating, otherwise I'll be a holiday off all year. Wearing my pilgrim hat at Christmas, hanging my Valentine's Day stocking by the hearth. Giving flowers and chocolate to Mrs. Bloggy for St. Patrick's Day. You can see the danger here. I'd show up for Irish Fest (the biggest holiday of the year, of course) just in time for Columbus Day. Where I'd probably slip on the ice of the skating rink.
Trick or Treat!
