Don't forget to join the celebration of Leopold Bloom's Dublin meanderings on June 16, 1904, this eveving at the Irish Center in Union Station. Details? Yeah, I got details:
4:00pm: a screening of the movie "Bloomsday Worldwide"
5:30pm: music by Dublin-native Eddie Delahunt along with Irish dancers
7:00pm: a performance of the play :Bloomsday Dublin: June 16"
The event is free - but donations to defray costs are appreciated.
Note: this is not for kids.
Kansas City’s Bloomsday celebration, coordinated by Tom and Nancy Shawver of Bloomsday Books, is sponsored by the William T. Kemper Foundation-Commerce Trust and Boulevard Brewery. The Irish Center is located in the lower level, West wing of Union Station (foot of the escalator); there is convenient parking in the garage immediately west of Union Station.
