For a lot of people across the world, Irish music means one thing: U2. And while we here at Irish Fest HQ may not agree with that, we certainly recognize the power and might of Dublin's most famous rockers. And so we hired them to play Irish Fest. I mean we tried to. Twice, actually. But I haven't heard from their agent yet. Must be some international calling problem.
So. The next best thing. KC Irish Fest presents Rattle and Hum kicking off Irish Fest 2010 on Friday night, September 3rd. Kansas City's, if not the world's favorite U2 tribute band and Kansas City's favorite festival. It's a long overdue match made in rock n roll heaven.
And that, friends is today's band announcement. Call me krazy, but I think this entertainment line up is shaping up to be one of the best ever.

my vote is for flogging molly in 2011.
I loved 2U 2 years ago, so I'm all rattled about seeing Rattle and Hum!
I think somewhere out there is a Flogging Molly/Dropkick Murphys tribute band. Let's call them Flogging Murphys or Kicking Molly. I say book them!
Perhaps a Holy Thursday band announcement is in the works?
