If we were so lame as to miss the live streaming, where would we find a list of winners?

CTG

So who won besides SO and Cara? The Webcast went south just as the ceremony started and there is NOTHING posted on any IMA site or Forum.

Thanks for updating your top-level post with some info, Dan!
Appreciate it... and CONGRATS to all the winners!

Just before you updated the post I was doing some extensive digging on the Web for any IMA results at all and the only thing I had found so far was a THANK YOU EVERYONE! from Mick Doyle ( Ellis Island ) over on Facebook.

Special CONGRATS to Mick and Dave, two of the hardest working fellas in the business and VERY well deserved!

No other (official) results yet, tho, even with a string of requests being posted on the IMA Forums right now asking why the Webcast crapped out and WHO WON LAST NIGHT? No responses to those direct queries on the IMA Forums yet.

Zero. Zip. Nada.

Rant coming up...

There's a lesson to be learned here for anyone/everyone participating in all this electronic self-promotion stuff.

If you are going to hype the hell out of something and try and drag the whole world to your little doorstep and ask them to participate in your goings-on and get everyone all filled with a sense of involvement and anticipectation ( Yes, it's a new 'cool' word going around ) then you kinda/sorta/yea/I think so/ have a responsibility to FOLLOW THROUGH.

Having spent most of my life writing software that has helped create this gigantic client/server based electronic town square thing ( The Web ) it always amazes me how many people will put pedal to the absolute metal with the self-promotion stuff ( Come see us here, don't miss us there, we need you to do this/that, yada yada ) and then there's never any RESULTS or REVIEWS of this endless stream of events. There are exceptions, of course, but in general it's all turned into just one big electronic CALENDAR and the only news is what's GOING to happen, and not what actually went on. Worst offenders are on the social sites like MySpace and Facebook. It's all just 'Come see ME, Come see ME' and never any real CONTENT about anything.

C'mon people. Get it together and FOLLOW THROUGH with this stuff once you 'go there'. It's not hard.

Rant over.

...also... the IMA site is now showing the 'official' list of winners on the Home page under the 'News' section. Congrats once again to all of this year's winners AND all of the fine nominees.
