There's as organization in town here called The Harp and Shamrock Club. They are the official Bob Reeder fan club but more than that they are an amazing charitable group who raise thousands of dollars a year to help hearing impaired children through Kansas City's Children's Mercy Hospital, nearly $10,000 in 2009. The founder of that organization is Kathy Murphy and she has recently announced that she's stepping down from her long held leadership position at the H & S.
All of us at Irish Fest want to give Kathy a big thank you for the great work she and her group have done to better our community and offer our best wishes for her future plans, whatever they may be.
