Winter At The Irish Center

Okay, so maybe it's a little cold for outdoor festivals. That doesn't mean you have to stop being Irish, does it? Not while the good people at the Irish museum and Cultural Center have anything to say about it. They've got all kinds of stuff to keep you warm and Gaelic in the cold coming months.
 
Sun. Dec. 6 - Celtic Pottery Workshop at Irish Center in Union Station
noon - 4 pm, or when finished
Create Celtic designs on your own pottery to keep or give for the holidays. Unique, colorful designs to celebrate the Celtic heritage! Large plates or small bowls, paints, designs, equipment - all supplies provided. Instruction by local artist Mike Dugger. Will need to get plate fired after painting for small additional charge.

$35/person/plate, additional $7 for bowl. Pay at the door that day. Cash, check or credit card.

Have fun and learn! Start getting your team together now. $100 entry fee for team of 6. Guinness provided.

Sun. Feb. 28 - Youth Talent and Art Showcase, 2 - 4 pm
All kids, ages 8 - 18 invited to share music, dance, reading, visual art Irish-themed talent.


Fri. March 5 - Annual Irish Gala honoring Dan Hesse, CEO Sprint Nextel Corporation, featuring Kansas City Irish Fest alum Eileen Ivers and Immigrant Soul, 5:30 pm, Muehlebach Towers

Sat. March 6 - Missouri Irish Brigade Encampment, 10 am – 4 pm

Wed. March 17 - St. Patrick’s Day Family Fair, 10 am – 4 pm

Sun. April 11 - Peace in Ireland Recognition, 2 pm


Sat. April 24 - Irish Whiskey Night, 6 pm
