Eileen and her band Immigrant Soul will be here in in KC this coming March at playing at The Irish Center's annual gala and I can't wait. Other than the fact that I have to wear a suit (ugh) the gala is a great event and always a lot of fun. All of Kansas City's Irish swanks and important people are there...and then there's the Irish Fest table. Remember when you were growing up and what it was like sitting at the kids' table at Thanksgiving? Now imagine if the kids have all been drinking. That's what our table is like. I can't imagine that you're surprised.

Eileening Of A White Christmas
I was over to eye-tunes store the other day and bought An Nollaig, An Irish Christmas, the album by two-time Kansas City Irish Fest performer Eileen Ivers, who by the way is one of the nicest people on the good green Earth. I've been listening to it for days and it's great, great stuff. If you're looking to add to your holiday music collection, you couldn't do much better.

I'm surprised you know how to work that newfangled iTunes technology. ;)
Yeah, the part I had trouble with was how to get the songs on to my 8-track player.
