Irish Fest VP-elect Barney Walsh posted the following comment on my earlier Christmas list post, but I liked it so much I thought it deserved a better fate than to be lost in a week old post. And you thought Barney was a Scrooge...

"Where does Irish Fest go? Well it lives on in the hearts, minds and souls of everyone who experienced the music, hoisted a pint, laughed, learned something new or maybe danced a jig or two.

Those of us who work to keep the flame burning, can't wait to see the joy it brings to all the kids, whether you are 4 or 94.

So yes, Virginia, there is an Irish Fest. And it's your belief and sense of wonder that will bring it all back to Crown Center next summer.
