Friday Already?

Holy crap, have I been lazy this week...blog wise I mean. I suppose it's a function of this time of year. Irish Fest 2009 is a memory, fading away and fuzzy, just like my hair. But even though Irish Fest seems to have slunk into its cave for a long winter's nap, nothing could in fact be further from the truth. For example, the Irish Fest board of directors met this morning at 7:00 as we do every other week all year long. And things are happening, man. Big things.

The 2010 entertainment schedule is coming together in record time. We expect to have the entire three day weekend schedule complete no later than St. Patrick's Day, and probably a lot sooner than that. And this will be, and I exaggerate not at all, the best music weekend in KC Irish Fest history. Infrastructure changes that will improve your Irish Fest experience tremendously are being planned. More things to do, see and hear are coming for KCIF '10. Retiring board members are being replaced, new committees planned and staffed, new sponsors are lining up to join our happy family.

Of course I can't give you details on any of this stuff yet. Sorry. We have to do things through proper channels and on careful schedules, you know? Just wanted you to know the wheels are turning and for the misguided few of us who make this a year round job, rest period is over.
