Let's say, God forbid, that you just can't get here this weekend for Irish Fest. First off, you better have a good excuse. Acceptable examples:
- I'm in prison.
- I'm dead.
- I'm in labor.
- All of the above.
But as I said, let's suppose. Well, you can still experience the 2009 Kansas City Irish Fest right here on your
computating machine. For the first time ever, we'll be streaming video and you can watch and listen to what you're missing while you lay there in the maternity ward of Leavenworth Prison. The schedule is below and the stream can be accessed through our
website this weekend. The whole production is brought to you by our multi-media geniuses
Laren Mahoney and John
Wenzel.
Watch if you must, but you better get your rear here next year.

WOOHOO!! I'm so glad to hear this! I'll be at the Fest all weekend, but will spend a big part of it locked in the "beancounter room", so I'll get to enjoy lots more music than I would otherwise be able to! :)
feckin awesome
Ok, this is WAY cool!
I won't be able to see all the music I want to at fest either (I plan on volunteering the whole weekend), but I would love to see it. Will it be available somewhere afterward?
...and don't forget that the WiFi signals emanating from both Host Hotels are VERY strong and so, for the lucky ones staying at the hotels with their free broadband login all weekend, there are now all kinds of cool possibilities!
It means you can keep your good seat that you had at the State Street Stage as you were sure to catch Edddie and friends and then Vishten... and you can still 'see' Hothouse Flowers' over on the other stage with your little Wifi Netbook while you stay right where you are to ALSO catch the David Munnelly Band.
OR...
You can make that run back to your hotel room to fetch the other memory stick for your camera that you always forget to put in your feckin' pocket and, with your iPhone, not miss anything back on the stage.
The possibilites are endless ( now ).
So many toys. So little time.
ROFL
BTW: That was no typo in last post. I have always thought that Mr. Delahunt is an extra-ordinary human being and deserves at least '3' d's in his name. As in...
Heeeerrrreee's Edddie!....
ROFL
Not to confuse anyone, but internet access for Westin guests is not free.
I love how techie the fest is getting! Yay!
WiFi access at Panera Bread is also free, 'though I do not know how far into Crown Center the signal might extend.
Thank you, KCIF, for this very cool feature! I was not able to attend this year, but I've been able to see Cara, Scythian, and the Elders anyway!
Hope to see you in person next year!
