Winners

We wrapped up a couple contests this week. Let's meet the winners.

First the video contest. We had planned to have you people vote on the dozens if not hundreds of entries we thought we were going to get and then give a people's choice award in addition to the grand prize winner that our Irish Fest judges (of which I am not one) would choose. Well, the response to our call for entries was disappointing to put it mildly. As in, um...three entries. And two of those were from the same person! So here's where we are. The People's Choice award is out the window. To hell with yiz. And the Irish Fest panel of judges has chosen the entry that they feel best and most imaginatively interpreted our "Take Me Out To The Irish Fest" theme. Our winner in a landslide is Slappy McYuckyuck who submitted this gem:

As far as the 5K Milwaukee Irish Fest race prediction contest goes, as the whole feckin' world knows by now I was thumped by a girl in the race on Saturday as Laren beat me by 24 seconds. And believe me I have NOT stopped hearing about it. Anyway our winner is Barbara who came closest to the margin of victory by picking Laren to beat me by 11 seconds. Barbara, you're dead to me. But you do win a single day Snug pass. Congratulations.
