Next month representatives of your Kansas City Irish Fest, including me, will be heading north for the biggest damn Irish festival in the whole wide world, the mighty Milwaukee Irish Fest. While there I intend to audition bands that you may see here in the future, hobnob with many of my fellow Irish festival producers, promoters and directors, establish valuable new contacts and generally steal shamelessly every good idea I see.
I'm also going to run, and I don't just mean to the beer tents and Port-a-Potties. The Milwaukee Irish Fest, as one of its roughly 43,278 different annual events, holds a 5K run every Irish Fest weekend. It's a benefit for the Arthritis Foundation which is a good and worthy cause and one for which I'm going to try and generate a few bucks by my participation in the race. Which is where you come in. If you can help, please make a pledge in whatever amount you can afford by clicking here and doing whatever the form tells you to do. I'd appreciate it greatly and will try to make you proud by running well and strong, competing honorably and most importantly soundly trouncing Milwaukee Irish Fest president Joe King, who I'm sure will be racing that morning, too. Right Joe?
I've set a very modest goal of $250 to raise. Why, if every one of my regular readers pledged $85 I'd be two thirds of the way there.
Thanks, pals.

Hey Dan
see you there, maybe not for the run, but for a pint and tunes. Make sure you say hello, so I know whose blog I am following for the last year.
All the best
Rolf
I'll be sure to find you Rolf. Looking forward to it!
Rolf,
Just look for the guy in the KCIF jumpsuit and you will find Regan.
McCarthy
Darnit, I'm mad I missed the meeting where they handed out the jumpsuits!
