Has it really been, um, forever since we last celebrated St. Kevin's Day? Well, the big day is here again and I know you're probably already out partying. If there's time in your busy St. Kev's Day schedule, be sure to swing by Governor Stumpy's in beautiful Waldo from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. There owner Kevin Ryan, Irish Fest's award winning Gate Keeper Kevin Bundy and other Kevins, friends of Kevins and Kevin wannabes will be toasting that great saint who...healed some sick people or fed birds or did something saintly, I'm sure.
If you've taken the whole day off to celebrate as I'm sure most of you have, you can march in the big St. Kevin's Day Parade which will begin at Stumpy's at 2:00 this afternoon, march to The Gaf, toss back a pint and turn around again.
I'll see you there and we'll join in rousing chorus of some of those great old St. Kevin's Day songs we love so well. Happy St. Kevin's Day!
