Once again your Kansas City Irish Fest has been nominated for high honors. The annual Visitors' Choice Awards, presented by the Kansas City Convention and Visitors Association, will present the prize for Favorite Festival or Special Event this coming September. We are the reigning champs in this arena, having won in 2007 and 2008 and we are not ready to relinquish the crown.

Our competition?
American Royal Livestock, Horse Show & Rodeo. Whoa. Way too horsey.
First Friday's in the Crossroads Arts District. Buncha artsy fartsy Chardonnay drinking pansies.
Kansas City Renaissance Festival. Yeah squire, I got yer huzzah right here.

So here's the deal. If you live in the 5 county KC metropolitan area, you can't vote on account of you not being a Visitor and it's their Choice. If you live elsewhere, cast your vote beginning Friday May 15th by going to www.VisitKC.com. If you do live here, contact all your friends and family outside town who love Irish Fest and have them vote. Help Irish Fest remain in its rightful spot atop all of our town's festivals and events. Vote for us! But not 'til Friday.
