I bet this has happened to you. You're sitting at home, sipping a cold Boulevard beer. It's nice, it's fine. But something's missing. You want music. More specifically, you want Irish music. More specifically than that, you want Eddie Delahunt Irish music. Oh sure, you could pop in a CD. But really, that just isn't the same. No, you want Eddie, right there, playing in the living room.
Impossible, you say. Eddie's a big star. That would cost a fortune, even if he'd do it at all. Maybe. Maybe not. Here's how you can give it a shot.
Bid on Eddie. This week is community radio station KKFI's annual fund raising band auction. Eddie will be playing live on Thursday morning beginning at 7:00. You place your bid. You win Eddie. He'll play a two hour gig at your party, wedding, funeral, bris, baptism...hell, even just right there in your living room. You two work it out. You can't however be the higher bidder and have him over to paint your house. I checked.
So listen, bid, win you some Eddie. If you can't listen, place your bid in advance right now, on line. And Friday at 1:00, bid on fellow Irish Fest alums The Shortleaf Band. Buy both, have a little mini Irish Fest. Don't forget to invite me.
Details on the auction are here. KKFI is at 90.1 on your FM dial. Good luck!

They're not on the radio station's list. Connie Dover is though.
