From our Green Queen Natalie Smith comes this report of our 2008 recycling effort at the Kansas City Irish Fest: 157 bags of cans and bottles recycled over the weekend, an average bag weighing 12 lbs. That works out to about 1,884 lbs of bottles and cans recycled that otherwise would have ended up in landfills. We also added corrugate cardboard in 2008 and recycled 300 cu. feet of that stuff.
So how much does Natalie rock? Let's see...285 bags of awesomeness, each containing 15,475 units of kick-ass, adds up to one amazing Irish Fester. Great job, Nat and crew.
