In a few hours hordes of my McCunniff relations (Mom's side) will start pouring into town for a big family wedding on Saturday. I've alerted the Boulevard Brewing company to brace themselves for shortages. Anyway I was thinking about this blessed event and I was thinking about Irish Fest and I was thinking what a great place the big reunion area up on the terrace would be for a wedding reception.
We've had marriage proposals. We've had bridal parties in full regalia stop by the fest. I'm sure we've had more than a few hook ups, as the kids say these days. But a full blown wedding reception? Not yet. You could be the first.
If you're planning late summer nuptials, I'm just saying think about it. If you're not engaged yet, go get that way. Then set that Labor Day weekend date. World class entertainment included. Nearby hotels. 90,000 of your closest friends. Grooms, ask your brides about the idea. Brides, just tell him this is what you're doing. He needs to get you used to you calling the shots anyway. And then let us know and we'll work out the details.
Oh and congratulations David and Ashley!
