Damn. I mean, News Item

The Saw Doctors' documentary film Clare Island to Cape Cod will have its Irish debut screening at Dublin's Button Factory next week.

Steven Lock's documentary tells the story of the Saw Doctors US tour during last August from the beds of their tour bus to the Melody Tent stage in Cape Cod and all of the candid moments in-between.

Lock also tells about the Tuam festivities celebrating the October day when the Doctors' got their first No.1 on the Irish charts in 17 years with their cover of 'About You Now' by the Sugababes.

And to promote the DVD release of the film later this month, the Saw Doctors will make two Dublin appearances at the Olympia Theatre on Saturday, November 22 and Thursday the 27.

Clare Island to Cape Cod will make its premiere at the Button Factory on November 25 at 8 p.m.
I say "damn" because when this documentary was being planned, Kansas City was considered for a mid-September stop on the filming tour. We were contacted by the band's management and tried hard to make it work, but it wasn't to be. Oh well. I think you'll agree with me that the Saw Doctors can make it up to us by playing Irish Fest next year.

I am ready for them to come back. They are fantastic.
I have loved their music for years. My husband sings their lyrics around the house.
