We have sort of a football team in Kansas City. They're not very good. They stink, as a matter of fact. They'll "play" again this Sunday at noon. You know what you should do? Ignore them. Turn on your radio instead. At 1:00, by which point the Chiefs will be down by three touchdowns, tune into KCUR FM 89.3, our local National Public Radio station for some great Celtic music on The Thistle and Shamrock program. As a bonus, you'll hear Kansas City Irish Fest director Erin Kiekbusch and Heritage Area coordinator Barbara Scanlon and your's truly, old Uncle Bloggy. Because, yes kids, it's Pledge Drive time again!
I bug you about this twice a year and here I am again. Call (816) 235-5287 in between 1:00 and 2:00 PM and make a pledge of support to a station that does so much for Irish Fest. Erin, Barb and I will read your name on the air and tell everybody how awesome and generous and good looking and sexy you are. Pledge on line at www.kcur.org and we'll add "technologically savvy" to your list of attributes. Either way, please pledge your support for public radio, Irish music and the Kansas City Irish Fest by supporting KCUR.
I'll remind you again. I promise.

LETS TALK ABOUT THEM COWS AGAIN. YALL KNOW EVERY STATE HAS A STATE COW. THERE IS ENOUGH COWS FOR 50 YEARS. HOW MANY COLORS DO COWS COME IN, TOO MANY TO COUNT. HOW ABOUT GENERIC COWS, UDDERLESS, ETC. WELL, IT IS TIME TO MOOOOOO ON. HOPE THE PLEDGE DRIVE WENT WELL. ONE MORE THING, THE KANSAS CITY COW WOULD BE THE CHIEF OF ALL COWS. HOW MANY MORE DAYS TILL THE 09 KC IRISHFEST?
WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?!!
No update since Tuesday, huh? Somebody check Uncle Bloggy's pulse. If there's no KCIF news, perhaps he could give his two-pence on Guy & Madonna, or share his favorite pumpkin bread recipe....anything!
SO I CAN BE NOTICED! IT WORKED DIDNT IT. MOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I AM SHOUTING BECAUSE I AM STILL VERY HARD OF HEARING FROM THE 08 FEST. HOW ABOUT A COUPLE OF SNAPPED EARDRUMS FROM THE 09 FEST. MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
