This past weekend I was watching Daire Bracken, the fiddle player for Slide and I was thinking "I could do that! I should take fiddle lessons!" Then I remembered that A. I'm a non-musical, uncoordinated goon, and B. I can't afford fiddle lessons. I bet you had a similar experience, except for the being a goon part. Because you, unlike me, are graceful, talented, lithe and inspired. So with A covered we come to B. And that's where Irish Fest comes in.
Through the Kansas City Irish Fest grant fund, all you need is the desire and potential. We'll foot the bill. Learn to bow like Daire, dance like
Jean or tootle like
Molloy. Or whatever Irish arts experience you can imagine. Applications are open to individuals and
not for profit organizations.
Interested? Of course you are. You're no fool. But you don't have much time, so
apply now.
