Olympic Update
For those keeping score at home, the most current Olympic medal count for Ireland in the Beijing games stands as follows:
Gold: 0 Silver: 0 Bronze: 0 Total: 0
I'll update you regularly. On a positive note in Irish sport, I beat Irish Fest director Laren Mahoney by 17 seconds in yesterday's Race For The Cure. Not that I'm bragging or anything, I'm just saying.
Yes people, he did beat me. And I therefore lost our bet against time by a measly 17 seconds. But what you didn’t see was his victory dance of winning the 5k bet. It involved the Worm and some form of Napoleon Dynamite interpretive dancing. Let’s just say, it wasn’t pretty and I think some kids are permanently scarred from the experience.
Dan, your time for the bar tab will come someday. Oh yes, it will!

Laren
I was actually going for more of a Riverdance sort of thing. I thought my skinny leather headband would have tipped that off, but I guess not.
Laren and I had bet a bar tab on the race. Who wants to meet me at The Gaf?
