The Calm Before The (Gaelic) Storm

I'm just about to walk out the door to head for Crown Center for a long day of set up. I'll be computerless most of the day, so forgive me if I'm late getting any comments up today. And I'll have in my pocket my new pedometer ticking off the miles so if you haven't entered your guess in the big How Far Will Uncle Bloggy Walk During Irish Fest contest, better hurry. I think I set a entry cut off, but I don't recall what it was, so let's say we'll run it until midnight tonight. Maybe that's what I said before.

Kids, don't neglect your coloring. Do it instead of homework. Just tell your teacher "priorities, Sister, priorities."

And don't forget to buy your $5 Friday ticket today, available only through our website. And remember that after today, online prices go up a buck.

Don't forget that advance Snug memberships end today. Get yours now.

And lastly, if you're in the mood, come help us set up today. I can tell one person who's coming. Hollie will be there, zipping zip ties, setting tables, unloading trucks. Hollie is probably the biggest fan of Irish music I know. She's the Kelihans number one fan, for sure. I see her lovely, smiling face at just about every Irish event in town. She stopped by yesterday while Ed and I were hanging the State Street Stage backdrop. Hollie lives and breathes Irish. Hollie's blood flows green on Irish Fest weekend. Hollie is a Native American, an Apache.

Which in one little nutshell is what I love so much about this event.

We open tomorrow. See yiz.
