5

5. The Barra MacNeils. When some of my fellow Irish Festers and I traveled to Cape Breton last October for the Celtic Colours Festival, we were treated to an incredible show by these Atlantic Canadian legends. The were celebrating 20 years performing that year and when you've been doing something that long, you tend to get pretty good at it. This group plays with such craft and precision that you'd think they shared the same DNA. Which, in fact they do, the band being made up of six siblings. If you appreciate the pure craft of master musicianship, don't miss the Barras. If you want to be transported to a traditional Nova Scotia kitchen party for a couple hours, don't miss the Barras. If you want to be reminded what a talentless bunch of doofuses your siblings are, don't miss the Barras. Saturday 4:30, Sunday 3:30.
